What can I expect during my first therapy session?
During your first therapy session, we will discuss the current stressors in your life, identify goals for therapy, and create a personalized treatment plan to help you reach those goals. Many people feel nervous during their first therapy session, so we will move at your pace to ensure that you feel comfortable sharing your story and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Where does therapy occur and where do I need to be located?
We do not offer in person sessions at this time. Therapy sessions will be take place virtually through a secure, confidential, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. You will receive a link to join your therapy session after the free, 15 minute phone consultation is completed. You will need to be physically located in the state of Delaware or Pennsylvania during our sessions to ensure compliance with licensure requirements.

How often will we meet?
Sessions can occur on a flexible basis depending on your schedule and availability (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). At the beginning of therapy, we will plan to meet once a week to ensure that you have enough time and the appropriate amount of support needed to work on your treatment goals. After some time and/or when treatment goals are being met, we will space out our sessions to meet less frequently.

How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy treatment is different for each person. The treatment plan that we create during your intake session will be a helpful guide to evaluate your progress along the way. These treatment goals can also be updated, so when you and your therapist think that these goals have been reached, you can create a plan for discharge from therapy.
